How We Work

At Ciel Designs, we offer personalized service with a designated Account Manager assigned to each client, assisting with the entire production process from concept to delivery. We specialize in crafting 925 Silver Jewelry and strive to provide efficient turnaround times. Since each piece is handmade to order, we do not maintain any stock, and production times may vary based on the complexity of the design. Batch production typically takes 6 to 8 weeks, while orders placed during September to November may take up to 12 weeks.

Minimum Order Quantity (for Bulk Orders – Fresh Styles & Custom Designs) As a jewelry manufacturer, we have a flexible approach to order requirements and do not have a minimum order spend or set amount for clients to continue working with us. However, we do ask that clients adhere to our minimum order quantities to maintain our cost structure.

For items with a unit price of less than $23, the minimum order quantity is 15 pieces per SKU with a choice of up to 3 gemstone/plating color combinations. For items priced between $24 and $40, the minimum order quantity is 12 pieces per SKU with a choice of up to 3 gemstone/plating color combinations. For items priced between $41 and $75, the minimum order quantity is 6 pieces per SKU with a choice of up to 2 gemstone/plating color combinations.

We are open to making exceptions to these terms but would require assurances on future ordering quantities in most cases.

Sampling Process & Policy

Customers have the option to order an assorted sample style with a maximum of 3 pieces per SKU, with the choice of any gemstone and plating color. Additional sample requests are accommodated upon inquiry. Ciel Designs applies a fee for product samples and does not provide them for free or offset their cost against future orders due to the associated expenses of production, packaging, and shipping.

Sample orders do not carry a minimum order amount, and the unit price for both samples and bulk orders remains consistent. The lead time for sample production is estimated at approximately 5 weeks, which can extend to 7 weeks for newly developed items, starting upon receipt of payment.

Customers are granted the flexibility to choose from Ciel Designs's Fresh Styles collection or tailor existing designs to align with their preferences. Moreover, the option to create completely original designs is available. Ciel Designs offers the inclusion of logo plates on necklaces, bracelets, as well as logo engraving on earrings, rings, and charms to reinforce branding experiences.

For custom designs or alterations, a fixed tooling charge of $50 is applied to each new design, irrespective of its size. These custom-designed items remain exclusive to the customer. The minimum order quantity for custom designs in bulk aligns with that of Fresh Style items.

Upon receiving initial references and briefs, Ciel Designs's design team evaluates feasibility, durability, and production cost optimization. A 2D technical drawing is provided for review, including key details in true scale and delivered as PDF files. Following this, a preliminary cost estimate is shared, which is subject to final determination upon the completion of the actual sample.

Once customers approve the quotation, Ciel Designs issues a sample Proforma Invoice (PI) detailing sampling costs for confirmation. To proceed with sample orders, a full deposit of the order value is required. Sampling commences upon receipt of the sketch confirmation and payment, during which CAD renderings and photos are not shared.

Freight charges, customs fees, and import duties are separate from the unit price. Customers can inform Ciel Designs of specific requirements for customs documentation, such as HTS codes or EORI numbers. Upon shipping of the samples, customers are provided with tracking numbers and invoice details. Delivery typically takes 5-7 working days, but local customs may occasionally extend this timeline, contingent on location and shipping provider.

Bulk Ordering Process and Policy

To place an order after receiving and approving samples, customers are kindly requested to send a Purchase Order (PO) containing item numbers, gemstone/plating colors, and desired quantities. At Ciel Designs, we offer a significant order discount starting at 50 units per SKU, with a discount of up to 5% depending on the complexity of the design. For larger orders of 150 pieces/SKU, the discount amount will be determined after consultation between the client and Ciel Designs. Please note that prices for Sterling Silver base pieces are subject to fluctuations based on market silver prices, which can be checked on Kitco. The rate used on the Proforma Invoice (PI) will be the one on the PO's receipt.

After submitting the PO, Ciel Designs will send a PI with the expected ship date for confirmation. We kindly ask that buyers carefully review all details on the PI before confirming, arrange for a 50% deposit, and forward the bank slip once transferred. Please note that our standard lead time is 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the style and order size, and starts only after we receive proof of payment.

When the order is ready to ship, Ciel Designs will promptly inform the buyer and send an invoice for the balance payment before shipment. Upon receiving the bank slip, the shipment will be released, and the buyer will receive a tracking number for the package.
